WORDS is an acrostic effect. You ask ChatGPT for a list of random words, right in front of your spectator. They scroll the answer and pick words - any words. A performance is a conversation. You open the chat in front of the spectator, make a little small talk with ChatGPT if you like, then ask it for a list of ten thousand random words. The list streams in like any ChatGPT answer - and from its first row, every word encodes the first letter of your secret word. The spectator scrolls, stops wherever they like and thinks of a word. A moment after the scrolling stops, the app silently moves to the next letter - it rewrites the rest of the list from a new pool of words. The golden rule that keeps this invisible: a word never, ever changes while it can be seen. Rows are only swapped off-screen, so the word they are looking at stays exactly as it is.
